CALL TO WORSHIP  Come by Here, My Lord  AAHH #438
Come by here, my Lord, come by here.
Come by here, my Lord, come by here.
Come by here, my Lord, come by here.
Oh Lord, come by here.

WELCOME

SCRIPTURE Isaiah 61:1-3
The spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, to provide for those who mourn in Zion— to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display his glory.

May we be blessed by the reading of this word. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE We share prayers of joy and gratitude; prayers of concern or sorrow; and prayers for the world and its people. We end each prayer by saying “This is my prayer,” and then together we affirm, “This is our prayer.”  If you are worshiping via Zoom, you may type your prayer request in the chat or indicate you wish to say it aloud, and someone will bring the mic to the tablet for you.
