Beloved UCC Blog
Our Beloved Sherman Rockwell recently offered this welcome as we gathered to worship together. Join us any Sunday at 5:00 pm!
A man visits a new church for the first time. Afterward, someone asks him what he thought. He says, 'Everyone was so friendly, they must've thought I was somebody important.'
He didn't realize — that's really the whole idea behind this church. Nobody here is checking where you've been, what you believe, or what box you'd check on a form. We don't gather tonight to size each other up or sort each other out. We gather to experience something together — and that only works if everyone feels genuinely welcome exactly as they are.
Each of us brings something different through our door -- some have things to celebrate. Or something heavy weighing on us, or simply a hope of finding a little peace and good company.
So however you came to Beloved Community Church, you are somebody important, and there’s a place for you among us. Welcome to our community, where no one is a stranger, and all people are celebrated as precious children of God.
